Following a number of complaints from local residents, about the large pothole next to the Tesco parking bays, the Parish Council contacted the three parties – Tesco Management, the Queen Victoria and Essex County Council, to understand who owned this piece of land. The pothole had become dangerous and needed to be repaired urgently. After all parties denied owning the land, the Parish Council decided to repair the pothole using our approved contractors. In the meantime, we contacted our solicitors to find out who the landowners were, and discovered that it is owned by McMullens, the Brewery who run the Queen Vic.  The Land Title documents were submitted to McMullens who agreed to repair the pothole at their expense.

This work was carried out by their contractors at the weekend.

We would like to thank McMullens for doing this work so promptly.
