The Parish Council Contacted Epping Forest District Council after telephone calls from residents concerned about Three litter bins in Forest Drive, that had been sealed up. The Area waste manager for Epping Forest District Council explained that the locks had failed on these three bins and that they were unable to open them to empty them. They have had to seal them for now, but they have ordered new locks and these will be fitted once received and the bins unsealed.
We did ask if temporary bins could be placed there, but unfortunately, they no longer do this due to the moveable bins regularly being stolen or vandalised.
We will be monitoring the situation.
