After contacting the Area Waste manager at Epping Forest District Council regarding the ongoing problem with missed bin collections, we received the following reply:
Apologies for the ongoing missed collections that you are experiencing. We are doing all we can to enforce the contract and we are doing all we can to ensure Biffa catch up on the missed collections. We are aware of the issues in Theydon Bois, which are unfortunately are district wide issues. Biffa have been made aware of the lack of collections and instructed to clear as soon as possible.
Please be rest assured that Epping Forest District Council care deeply about the quality of service that we provide residents and apologise for the poor standard of waste collections currently being delivered. Officers and members have been working tirelessly to resolve these issues as swiftly as possible. We are continuously applying pressure on the waste contractor to resolve the issues and work with them to improve the situation.
I appreciate that this is frustrating and is causing distress to residents, the current poor level of service is unacceptable, and we will continue to do everything in our power to improve Biffa’s performance and clear the missed collections as soon as possible.
